General Information
How long does it last?
For most birthday parties we are there for one hour. Sometimes we can run a little longer if the children have a lot of questions.
For school presentations, we book in one hour increments. We can accommodate a class of up to 30 children in one hour. If there are going to be more children, more time will need to be allotted.

How much does it cost?
For birthday parties, $225
For schools or educational presentations, $200 for the first class, $100 for each class after the first (up to 30 children per class). This price is good Monday-Friday on parties booked before 4pm.

When do you arrive?
We normally arrive about 10 minutes early to set up so your party begins right on time.
BACK TO LIST
How much space do you need?
The Hands-On Reptile Encounter doesn't take up much space at all. We only need enough space for the children to all sit down in a semi-circle.

Who should have a Hands-On Reptile Encounter?
Why everyone, of course!
It is perfect for birthday parties, schools, educational presentations, Girl or Boy Scout meetings, or just for fun!

We have a wide variety. We normally bring about 3 different species, whoever is currently not shedding.
Some of our more popular snakes are Monty, our almost 10ft Burmese python, Four Times, the red rat snake and Flower the Ball Python. We have several tri-colors including Kitty, the Arizona mountain kingsnake, Beauty the Sinaloan milksnake and a Pueblan milksnake.
We are always adding new animals. Ask us when you book your party.

What about lizards?
Our largest lizard right now is Petri, a Mangrove Monitor. He's about 5 feet long. We also have Earl, the red tegu, Jerome, the bearded dragon, several leopard geckos, a blue tongue skink and a beautiful black and yellow uromastyx.

Are any of the animals dangerous? Or poisonous?
NO!
All of the animals that we bring are our family pets. Your safety is our biggest concern. There are some animals that the children cannot hold due to the size of the animal, but they can still pet them.
All of our reptiles are considered harmless. None of them are venomous.
The tarantulas and scorpions do have the ability to sting if threatened. We do not allow the children to hold these. They are only for display.
BACK TO LIST
Any other critters?
Of course!
Alligators. We have Spike and New Spike who are both about 2 years old.
We also have several species of frogs (a tomato frog, white's tree frogs, Argentine horned frog and a barking tree frog) as well as tarantulas and scorpions.

Pets People Can No Longer Keep
We have a reptile that we can not keep any longer. Will you take it?
Probably. You need to call and speak to Jennifer.
BACK TO LIST
What will you do with it?
We will give it a forever home here on our farm. We will use the animal in our Hands-On Reptile Encounter and help to educate people about them.

Have people done this with you before?
Yes. We currently have 3 lizards that were all given to us.
They are Shasta, our green iguana. He came from a great couple that had him for 9 years. With them expecting twin babies in the summer of 2005, they didn't think they would have the same amount of time for him.
We also have Jerome the bearded dragon. She came from a family with 3 kids who all took excellent care of her.
Our newest addition is Petri, the Mangrove Monitor. He is 13 years old and 5 feet long. His family is in the military and they were transfered to Korea and could not bring him. He is an incredible lizard! We are very lucky to have him.
